VI. CORRESPONDENCE None. <br />VII. REPORTS <br /> <br />A. State CSW Liaison <br /> State CSW has not met since June 2017. <br /> ÅA Day in the LifeÆ is a recent event that was held on Oahu. It <br />featured an ensemble from NYC that traveled to Hawaii with real <br />stories of survivors played by actresses. The event was held at <br />KS Kapalama Campus and University of Hawaii Campus Center <br />Ballroom. Perhaps this could be an idea to create ensemble <br />through Hawaii County. Female ensemble consisted of girls age <br />14-20. <br /> Cyd passed out literature regarding ÅJetblue & Together We Rise <br />Sweet CasesÆ Project. This might be a project that we could <br />garner support for. <br /> Understanding and Recognizing Trafficking in Persons workshop <br />to be held in Kona. Kona has largest advocacy group supporting <br />Human Trafficking on island so far. <br /> Cyd will connect with ChildrenÈs Justice Center to explore <br />possible campaign (i.e. Number of foster children) and Hawaiian <br />Airlines for possible duffle bags for children at first contact. Duffle <br />bag could potentially be embroidered with a symbol that is <br />meaningful. <br /> Cyd also shared ACE Ã a study conducted by Kaiser Permanente. <br /> <br />II. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />A. Teen Dating Violence <br /> Jewel reported that a plan has been developed to allocate funds <br />toward the new card layout which was created by Mele. <br /> Possible idea to keep costs down is to run the card ordering <br />through Vista Print. <br /> <br />ACTION: The finalized plan with Vista Print quote will be delivered by Mele and <br />Jewel at next monthÈs meeting. <br /> <br />B. Real Women Essay Contest <br /> Committee formed last month and goal is to send information <br />reach schools in early September 2017. <br /> <br />ACTION: Google drive to be created by Farrah. <br /> <br />C. Hawaii Island WomenÈs Leadership Forum <br /> Hazel is still interested in doing a session. Details and date to be <br />determined. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />
