The Public Involvement Process <br />The map below shows Ecosystems in Kona. It is one of eight descriptive <br />maps provided to the workshop participants. Other maps included Cultural <br />Resources, Aquifers, Existing Land use, General Land Use, Infrastructure, <br />Natural Resources, and Ownership. <br />The outcomes of the Mapping the Future workshop were critical to the <br />reminder of the public process. Answers to the critical questions were <br />synthesized into ten development principles while the results of the Mapping <br />the Future segment were used to develop four probable development <br />scenarios. Both became the basis for public input and review in the course of <br />the How Do We Grow? Charrette, Part 1. <br />Kona Community Development Plan 2.5 <br />
