CALL TO ORDER & ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />2. APPROVAL OF REGULAR SESSION MINUTES — September 27, 2017 <br />3. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS <br />4. OLD BUSINESS <br />a. Review letter to Director Kucharski recommending the County of Hawai`i fund and commission a <br />feasibility study on the issue of providing sanitary human waste management in the near coastal zone <br />to include thorough examination of traditional and alternative technologies <br />5. NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Update by Planning Department on General Plan <br />b. Update on Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan <br />c. Site visit for November. As public attendance of the visit to Kealakehe Wastewater Treatment Plant <br />next month would be dangerous to health and safety to the public and public attendance is <br />impracticable, it is recommended that the Commission approve a limited meeting for the site visit <br />portion of next month's meeting pursuant to Hawai` i Revised Statutes § 92-3.1(a)(1) <br />d. Review, discuss and act on a letter requested by County Councilwoman Eoff for policy <br />recommendations on water reuse and conservation <br />e. Brief presentation on disinfection technology and terminology consistency recommendation <br />6. REPORTS/CORRESPONDENCE <br />a. Director's Report <br />b. Commission Member District Update Reports <br />7. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS <br />a. Discuss options on how to receive additional funding for department <br />b. Review letter to the Environmental Management Committee requesting County Council increase the <br />sewer fees <br />8. MEETING ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />November 22 Kona <br />9.
