4. Letter Forwarded for Action by Subcommittee: Chair John Winter read the draft letter <br />aloud to the Action Committee and members of the public. The letter requested that the <br />North Kohala CDP AC receive copies of all subdivision applications submitted to the <br />Planning Department for the planning area. <br />Committee member Richard Elliott moved to accept the draft letter os presented. Second <br />by Committee member Benjamin Ney. The next Special Meeting of the North Kohala Action Committee is scheduled for June <br />19, 2017. This meeting will provide an overview of scenario planning as it relates to the <br />General Plan. <br />2. Akoni Pule Highway will be repaved in 2018, from the hospital to Pololu. <br />3. Fire ants have been found in the planning area. A fire ant coalition similar to the coqui <br />coalition should be considered. <br />ADJOURNMENT: Committee Member Richard Elliott moved to adjourn the meeting. Second by <br />Vice Chair Faith Yates. Motion passed with 5 votes aye, and 0 votes nay.
