APPLICANT: WAIKOLOA BC, LLC (REZ 17-000225) <br />Application for a Change of Zone from a Resort -Hotel - 2 acres (V -2a) to a <br />Resort -Hotel - 7,500 square feet (V-7.5) zoning district for a 7.849 -acre portion of a <br />l0 -acre parcel of land. The subject property is located at the south end of `Anaeho`omalu <br />Bay and encompasses the Lava Lava Beach Club, Waikoloa Beach Resort, <br />`Anaeho`omalu, South Kohala, Hawaii, TMK: (3) 6-9-007:015 (por). <br />4. APPLICANT: WAIKOLOA BC, LLC (SMA 17-000068) <br />Application for a Special Management Area (SMA) Use Permit for a two -lot subdivision <br />and development of a resort complex to include 44 rentable transient units, a caretaker's <br />residence, a fitness and recreational center, a reception/guest services area, and related <br />accessory uses on a 7.849 -acre portion of a 10 -acre parcel of land. The subject property is <br />located at the south end of `Anaeho`omalu Bay and encompasses the Lava Lava Beach <br />Club, Waikoloa Beach Resort, `Anaeho`omalu, South Kohala, Hawaii, <br />TMK: (3) 6-9-007:015 (por). <br />MINUTES <br />Approval of the Minutes of the November 16, 2017 Leeward Planning Commission and the <br />October 30, 2017 Joint Planning Commission meetings. <br />ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS <br />1. Election of Officers for 2018. <br />2. Review and discussion of recent Special Management Area (SMA) determinations and <br />minor permits issued by the Planning Director. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />The purpose of the public hearing is to afford all interested persons a reasonable opportunity <br />to be heard on the above matter. <br />Pursuant to Rule 4, Contested Case Procedure, of the County of Hawaii Planning <br />Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure, any person seeking to intervene as a party to a <br />contested case hearing on Agenda Item Nos. 1, 2 and 4 above is required to file a written request <br />which must be received in the office of the Planning Department no later than seven (7) calendar <br />days prior to the Planning Commission's first public meeting on the matter. Such written request <br />shall be in conformity with Rule 4, in a form as provided by the Planning Department entitled <br />"Petition for Standing in a Contested Case Hearing." The written petition/request shall be filed <br />with the Planning Commission at Aupuni Center, 101 Pauahi Street, Suite 3, Hilo, Hawaii <br />96720, and accompanied by a filing fee of $200 payable to the Director of Finance. Any party <br />may retain counsel if that person so desires. Rule 4 may be inspected or purchased ($2.50) at the <br />above-cited location.
