You could say you won't be there but your wife will be, then as long as she's 21, and they receive approval from you to deliver to that person, then they can. She also has a form from the person with their id, when she brings it, the registered person has to be there to accept it. This is something the girl, the employee, has to follow these rules and be sure that the person she is delivering to is the actual person that has their id on file. If the person happens to run to the store or something, the alcohol will not be left with somebody else, even if they are over 21, if it is not the person that is registered, it will not be left there.
