Hawaii County Code Chapter 5 and International Building & Residential <br />Codes (IBC, IRC 2006 ed.) <br /> <br />III. SUMMARY OF LAWS <br /> <br />Attached Lanai Detail is being issued as a county-approved prescriptive <br />set of details, providing prescriptive solutions to allow columns at <br />attached lanais and/or carports with shed roofs. See detail drawings <br />provided by the County of Hawaii, Building Division, for prescriptive <br />requirements. Please specify on the plans which connection option is <br />being used at the post-beam connection, and which footing detail is being <br />used.
