Salary Commission Page 2 April 26, 2018 <br /> approved by a two-thirds vote of the entire membership of the <br /> Commission. <br /> o Testimony concerning Bill 98, Draft 2, submitted by Hugh Ono, P.E., as <br /> a public citizen and not on behalf of the Salary Commission, to the <br /> Hawaii County Council at its meeting held on April 11, 2018. <br /> (Submitting this testimony on behalf of the Salary Commission would <br /> not have been authorized as the content was not discussed at any of <br /> the commission's meetings.) <br /> o From Human Resources Director William V. Brilhante, dated April 18, <br /> 2018, transmitting a chart outlining the anticipated pay increases <br /> concerning the various bargaining units, effective on July 1, 2017 <br /> through June 30, 2019; and July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2021. (The <br /> applicable bargaining units to review are: BU-04, White Collar <br /> Supervisory; BU-11, Fire Fighters; BU-12, Police Officers; and BU-13, <br /> Professional and Scientific.) <br /> B) Rules of the Salary Commission (Salary Commission may discuss <br /> revisions concerning their Rules). <br /> C) Discussion concerning the election of officers for calendar year 2019. <br /> D) Opportunity for Commissioners to request items for placement on the <br /> next agenda. <br /> 7) Schedule Next Meeting Date <br /> 8) Adjournment <br /> Executive Session <br /> The Salary Commission anticipates convening one or more executive meetings <br /> regarding the above matters listed on the agenda, pursuant to HRS Sections <br /> 92-4 and 92-5(a)(4), for the purpose of consulting with the Board's attorney on <br /> questions and issues pertaining to the Board's powers, duties, privileges, <br /> immunities, and liabilities. A 2/3 vote pursuant to HRS Section 92-4 is <br /> necessary to hold an executive meeting. <br /> The meeting place is accessible to individuals with disabilities. If you need <br /> an auxiliary aid or service, language interpretation, or other access <br /> accommodation, please contact the Department of Human Resources at <br /> 961-8361 as soon as possible or at least five days prior to the meeting date of <br /> April 26, 2018. <br />
