some motors that sit down and rust in the little bay and stuff But, the water is disgusting down
there. It is absolutely disgusting from just a little thing that only happened for a short period of
time. The water—well, you could down there and look in my bay. It's beautiful. It's a beautiful
bay, but, yeah, it's filled with orange growing green garbage from what flows out. And, in the
same thing, if you want to pumpI was a contractor all my life—you want to pump all that
water to run that plant. Well, something else has got to back in there, and all that garbage and
pollution is going to find its way back in that way, and it's going to affect the whole community.
Do you want, would you want your water to come out of 22 million gallons or five gallons or
whatever. I wouldn't want to drink out of a bucket of five gallons of that pollution in it.
You know, it's disgusting what they're just wanting to do. I mean, this is our soil, and this is our
water, and this is our ground, and I watch it going on every day at my house, and I don't want it
to keep going on like this, and it's going to be a lot bigger than the few rusty motors that are
there and a few old decaying houses, because there's not that much bad chemicals in a decaying
house that was built back in 1900. They built it with concrete and wood, but the chemicals today
that they're going to use to run this plant, you know, it's amazing. I mean, I'll testify to the
second part, too, about the noise and stuff But, you can't just pump that much water in the
ground and have it not affect everybody in the community. I don't think any of you would want
to drink that water or be a part of that. But, I firsthand, I'm downhill between and all the garbage
that they're going to produce is going to run right through my land. Why do I have to put up
with that? That's not fair to me. When I bought that land, I didn't know they were going to let
all their trash run through my property. You know, my trash doesn't run through theirs. I'd bet
you if I even went up there with one trash can and dumped it outside their gate, they'd be mad at
me. You know, think about it. They want to dump it all in my yard through my soil, through my
three acres. That's all I gotta say. Thank you.
CLARKSON: Are there any questions from the Commission for any of the testifiers? If not,
thank you. Please be seated. Are there any of the original intervenors present today who would
like to testify on this matter? Apparently, not.
AUDIENCE MEMBER: I don't know what you're asking. I'm sorry.
CLARKSON: Well, there were, there was a contested case hearing, and there were several
people that were party to that contested case, and were involved as intervenors in the plan that
went to the Third Circuit Court, aspects of the plan were appealed to the Third Circuit Court.
Then, they were appealed to the Intermediate Court of Appeals. This is the remaining item, and I
just wanted to make sure. We've had public testimony. We've had testimony from the power
plant folks. If any of the people that were part of the contested case back in 2011 wanted to
testify, and apparently there are none here today. So, at this time—
AUDIENCE MEMBER: Sorry, she's original
CLARKSON: Okay. Please raise your right hand. Do you swear or affirm to tell the truth on
this matter before the Planning Commission today?
GONZALEZ: Yes, I do.
EXHIBIT C
18
