6.11 Visitor Industry <br />Policy 123: <br />Encourage appropriate visitor -related uses and facilities. Some examples of appropriate visitor -related uses <br />and facilities are ones that: <br />• Directly promote Agriculture, Ecotourism, Health & Wellness; or Cultural Heritage, and/or... <br />• Are Located near points of interest (as long as they will not detract from the natural beauty of the area, <br />or negatively impact the host community's privacy/public safety and rural lifestyle); and/or... <br />• Offer an educational experience as well as recreational activities. <br />(GP 14.7.5.3.2(a); 14.7.5.4.2) <br />6.12 Local Economy & Town Centers <br />Encourage the rehabilitation of existing service-oriented industrial areas.
