Automotive Division <br />The Automotive Division is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all County vehicles and <br />equipment, with the exception of equipment maintained by the respective departments.The Division <br />furnishes parts, labor, accessories, gasoline, diesel, lubricants, and tires. <br />Engineering Division <br />The Engineering primary responsibility is to plan, design, review, and construct road, bridge <br />and flood control facilities. The division also enforces applicable regulatory requirements for Chapter <br />10 County Code (HCC), on grading, grubbing and stockpiling, Chapter 22, HCC, on the <br />County Right-of-Way, and Chapter 27, HCC, on flood control. The division also reviews applications <br />for and change of zone. <br />Required Permits: <br />Grading: The following items are exceeded: <br />100 cubic yards of excavation or fill; <br />Vertical height of excavation or fill measured at its highest point exceeds five (5) feet; <br />The general and localized drainage patterns, with respect to abutting property, lines altered. <br />Grubbing: The area cleared exceeds one- acre (43,560- sq. feet). <br />Work within the County Right-of-Way: Any work within the County Right-of-Way before <br />construction; i.e., landscaping, utility lines, signs, driveways, sidewalk repairs, etc. <br />Publication Dispenser: includes permits to place newspaper stands, news racks, or other <br />dispensers of handbills or other printed/written materials on or over aCounty sidewalk. <br />Sidewalk Use: includes permits to place garbage receptacles, decorative planters, public <br />benches, required provisions for the physically challenged or other items which will be placed inor <br />on the County street for non-commercial purposes that are deemed by the directorto promote <br />public welfare. <br />Stockpiling-- Material stockpiled exceeds 500- cubic yards. <br />Private Waterline installation-- Private waterline placement within the County Right-of-Way. <br />Online Forms: <br />Curb Ramp Procedures and Requests: ADA Sidewalks and Other Access improvements <br />Convex Mirror of Private Driveway or Street <br />Convex Mirror for Two County Roads <br />Property Flood Zone determination <br />Elevation certificate instructions <br />Non-residential Flood proofing within Zone A <br />Elevation Certificate Packets for Zones. <br />Elevation Certificate Packets for Zones <br />Data from completed Elevation Certificates <br />Variance Applications: <br />Chapter 22 - County Streets <br />Work within aCounty Right-of-Way <br />Ѝ <br /> <br />
