KIM: When I took this job, again, <br />7 December 5th, 2017, the budget crisis was well-known. <br />8 The only thing I did not know, obviously, from the <br />9 outside in is the details of it as, you know, you guys <br />10 experienced now. The only way you are going to know it <br />11 is to be there and look at all the details you need to <br />12 know. And it's common knowledge now, obviously, that <br />13 we had some bills to pay. <br />14 And, as time went on, in a very short time, <br />15 with the Finance Department keeping -- trying to get <br />16 information to me as best as I could, the joke was that <br />17 at first it was only $5 million short for this fiscal <br />18 year as of June 30th; then it was $10 million; and then <br />19 it was 15, and it was 20. And, after a while, I told <br />20 Diane, "I don't want to see you in the office anymore." <br />21 But that was the reality.
