BRILHANTE: So I would think a <br />7 recommendation from the Department of HR as to <br />8 salaries, I can almost assure you it will be based on <br />9 that same type of information; but it would be <br />10 incumbent on you as a body to take that information <br />11 collectively and mull it over and come up with your own <br />12 independent base recommendation that you feel is fair <br />13 and proper and just and then move forward with that. <br />14 So, I mean, HR could provide you the <br />15 information but, again, it would just be another <br />16 piece, you know, going forward to make sure that you <br />17 come up with a fully informed decision as to the <br />18 salaries. <br />19 CHR. ONO: For myself, I just think it's <br />20 a good place to start the discussion because the <br />21 Department of Human Resources understands the current <br />22 salaries, they understand the collective bargaining <br />23 agreements in place and, Bill, you folks also know <br />24 when the effective dates of these increases, like Fire, <br />25 is coming up.
