State of Hawaii – DOH HEER <br /> <br />A. Barbara Brooks (HEER Toxicologist) retired in February. <br />B. Planning a table top exercise w/DOA for pesticide exposure in HSERC. Planning a full scale <br />exercise on the big island for pesticide exposure in the future <br />C. John Peard reported the newspaper ad for Tier 2 submittals was published in February. <br />Recommendation that maybe a college intern could do a study on increase or decrease in <br />applications and compare on the type of companies located in Hawaii island that might fit the <br />criteria. LEPC could pay for intern. <br />D. Study of lead exposure, Chlordane and Arsenic contamination in soil at public schools. <br />Follow up action is needed, negotiating with DOE on a statewide level on the older <br />buildings. <br /> <br />VIII. New Business <br /> <br />A. Henry Silva has resigned as the Co-chair of the LEPC <br />B. FBI IED training-Sending 5 HFD personnel to Oahu in April; Evidence base training <br />C. NASTTPO attendance-Terry Napeahi will be attending <br /> <br />X. Next meeting: Next meeting was scheduled for May 24, 2018 at a venue TBD. <br /> <br />XI.
