s • <br />CHARTER AMENDMENT NO. 16 <br />RESIDENCY AFTER REDISTRICTING <br />BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />Section 1. Section 13-4 of the Hawaii County Charter is amended by adding a new <br />subsection 13-4(m) to read as follows: <br />"(m) The redrawing of council district boundaries during a commission <br />member's term shall not affect a member's eligibility to represent the district to which the <br />member was appointed." <br />Section 2. Charter material to be repealed is bracketed. New charter material is <br />underscored. <br />Section 3. This amendment shall take effect upon its approval by the voters. <br />FINAL\DISTRICT <br />
