BESS: I I have no problem with that, we could have two different <br />committees doing this thing, in terms of just spreading out time. One for the <br />secretary and one for the lawyer, and I'd be happy to do the lawyer one, but I <br />suggest that maybe we just keep.... <br />SANTANGELO: So my motion was, original motion was for a lawyer, so I <br />stick to that and do I have a second then? <br />BALOG: I'll second that, to move this along. And I'll move to close <br />that. And he's going to chair it? So, you need volunteers? <br />RAY: Does anyone want to volunteer to serve on the selection <br />committee to hire the attorney? Sue? Any others? <br />SANTANGELO: I'm willing if nobody, I mean, I don't want to just jump in. <br />RAY: Okay, John Santangelo. So all in favor? <br />ALL: Aye. <br />RAY: Opposed? Okay, motion carried. Now we're addressing the <br />hiring of the secretary. Is there a motion? <br />SANTANGELO: I'd like to move that Gary head this up, with Kevin and Marni. <br />BALOG: I'll second that. <br />YOSHIYAMA: I don't know if that's a conflict, and I'm just declaring it. <br />IRVINE: Put him on the committee and make somebody else a chair. <br />YOSHIYAMA: We may end up representing that person depending what's <br />the final decision. <br />SANTANGELO: So then I will amend it to have Marni, chair, you guys be on it <br />and if there's a problem you step aside. <br />YOSHIYAMA: That's fine with me. <br />RAY: So the amended motion? <br />SANTANGELO: Is that Marni be the Chair of this search committee for a <br />secretary and Mr. Balog and Gary be on the committee. <br />RAY: All in favor? <br />19 <br />
