IRVINE: Yeah, Parks and Rec said put it under Corporation Counsel's office. <br />RAY: And to put it under Corporation Counsel. <br />WURDEMAN: Well, I'm not saying that. The Workmen's Comp function, which is a big <br />one. <br />RAY Right. <br />IRVINE: Which she talked about. <br />HERKES: Yeah. <br />WURDEMAN: In most -, right now, although it's assigned in the Charter to the Safety <br />Coordinator, my department is doing a lot of it. But in the other counties, to the best of my <br />knowledge, it comes under the Civil Service Department. <br />HERKES: Workmen's Comp? <br />WURDEMAN: They handle that. Because it fits in with the whole idea of safety on the job <br />and training and people get hurt, and you pay for it, but then you try and prevent so they don't get <br />hurt; it all kind of fits together. <br />HERKES: I agree. <br />RAY: <br />have -. <br />And I'm not sure if they're going to be here, but, you know, we also <br />HERKES: There's three people outside. <br />RAY: Pardon? <br />HERKES: There are three people outside. <br />RAY: Okay.
