HERKES: What does the Board do to provide incentives for people to <br />volunteer to become part of the Board? It would sure seem to me that it would be in <br />your best interest to get out there and find somebody to talk to the Mayor and say, we <br />want these people to be on the Board. I think that's one of the big problems, is that <br />Boards and Commissions don't do anything in the community to make people want to <br />be on them, or to talk about what you do. <br />FUJIOKA: That's only, I think, only a partial responsibility. I think that <br />whoever is responsible in Administration should be actively seeking, as well. <br />HERKES: I think they are. I hear they are. I get things all the time.
