TESTIMONY <br /> TO: Hawaii County Charter Review Commission <br /> FROM: Puna Community Council <br /> iu : Change in Date for Submission of Budget to County Council <br /> • <br /> Puna Community Council would like to offer its support for One of the <br /> suggestions given by Council Chairperson Russell Kokubun to this body. <br /> Puna Community Council concurs with Mr. Kokubun's suggestion that the <br /> budget be submitted to the County Council by the Administration by March 1 <br /> instead of May 1. <br /> We feel this would give the Council more time to consider the budget <br /> and although final figures are not available from the State Legislature <br /> by that time, estimates can be made on previous years' totals and adjustments <br /> made when those amounts are known.
