CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Bethea called the meeting to <br /> order at approximately 9 :02 a.m. at the conference <br /> room of the Themla Parker branch of the State Library, <br /> Waimea, Hawaii . <br /> II. Juvik <br /> Absent: <br /> III . APPROVE MINUTES OF 03/28/90: The minutes were not <br /> complete yet . Upon motion made by Mr. Greenwell and <br /> seconded by Mr. L'Orange, the review of them will be <br /> deferred until next meeting. <br /> IV. PUBLIC TESTIMONY: None was offered. <br /> V. AGENDA ITEM NO. 5 : Salary Commission <br /> Yuen: According to his proposed wording, the Salary <br /> Commission would decide the salaries of all elected <br /> officials per his 03/22/90 letter (Exhibit A) . <br /> Explained there is no reason to set salaries at Civil <br /> Service' s SR ratings. Wording: "all elected county <br /> officials. " Bethea: Questioned whether the new <br /> wording should go in Article XIII. Yuen: It can, <br /> although there is no particular place it should go. <br /> 850 <br />
