Interpretation of provisions in Sec. C. 3. b. (6) <br /> a. Unreasonable or excessive charges are interpreted <br /> to mean meal charges (including tax and tips) in <br /> excess of three dollars ($3.00), for breakfast, <br /> four dollars ($4.00) for lunch, and eight dollars <br /> ($8.00) for dinner. In exceptional circumstances <br /> when these limits are not realistic, higher meal <br /> costs may be authorized by the Director of Finance, <br /> provided that written justification is submitted. <br /> bo Members of boards and commissions may incur meal. - <br /> expenses regardless of district travel requirements • <br /> if work or travel runs into meal periods (after <br /> 8:00 a.m. for breakfast, after 12:00 noon for lunch, <br /> and after 5:00*p.m. for dinner) . <br /> 2. Interpretation of Sec. H. - <br /> • a. Bargaining unit employees shall- follow contract <br /> • provision for meals authorized during overtime work. <br />• - b. Contract provisions shall be followed by fire unit <br /> members for meals authorized during scheduled work <br /> shifts and after normal work shifts. ' <br /> • c. Excluded employees covered by Chapter 77, HRS, whose <br /> benefits are extended by Act 197/78 shall follow <br /> same provisions as bargaining unit employees for . <br /> meals authorized during overtime. <br /> COMM.• <br /> • <br /> .� <br />
