FUNCTIONS OF THE HAWAII COUNTY PENSION BOARD <br /> To grant pensions to employees and former employees who are <br /> or. were ineligible to the benefits of the employees retirement <br /> system, and are not the recipients or beneficiaries of pension <br /> from the State or any county. ( PART IV - SEC. 88-181 HRS ) <br /> To serve as Board of Trustees of the Policemen, Firemen, and <br /> Bandsmen Pension System per County of Hawaii Charter and <br /> Part III - Sec. 88-153, <br /> PENSION ROLL: <br /> Legislative 1 <br /> County Old Age Pension 127 <br /> Police/Band/Firemen Pension 21 <br /> TOTAL 149 <br /> ANNUAL PENSION PAID OUT $ 360 , 000 APPROX. <br /> 1/1/52 - Per diem workers, in service on this date, shall become <br /> eligible for membership but not required to so long as he remains <br /> a per diem worker and he withdraws as a member prior to 10/2/53 . <br /> All persons employed as per diem workers after 12/31/51, shall <br /> become members of the employees retirement system. <br /> COMM.
