HAWAII COUNTY CHARTER COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES <br /> 7th Session <br /> February 27, 1979 <br /> Hilo, Hawaii <br /> The seventh session of the Hawaii County Charter Commission <br /> was called to order at 3:40 p.m. in the Hawaii County Council- <br /> room, Hawaii County Building, Hilo, Hawaii , by Mr. Kimiaki <br /> Sakata, Chairman. <br /> The roll recorded the following: <br /> Present: Mr. Richard Ishida <br /> Mrs. Amy Iwamoto <br /> Mrs. Gloria Kobayashi <br /> Mr. Akira Omonaka <br /> Mr. Kimiaki Sakata <br /> Mr. Spencer Kalani Schutte <br /> Mr. Herman Sensano <br /> Mr. Joseph Trulson <br /> Mr. Basilio Yagong <br /> Mr. Matsuo Yanaga <br /> Absent Mr. Harlan Cadinha <br /> and <br /> Excused: <br /> Also Recording Secretary, Joan Carnett <br /> Present: <br /> DEPARTMENTAL The Chair called for the Rules to be suspended <br /> TESTIMONY: and departmental testimony be accepted. <br /> Mr. Schutte made the motion. <br /> It was seconded by Mr. Trulson <br /> and unanimously carried. <br /> COUNTY The Chair introduced Mr. Joseph Garcia, Vice- <br /> COUNCIL: Chairman, as representing the County Council <br /> in place of Mr. Stephen Yamashiro was was un- <br /> able to be present at this time. <br /> MR. GARCIA: Mr. Chairman and members of the <br /> Charter Commission. My name is Joseph R. Garcia, Jr. and I 'm <br /> here speaking in behalf of Councilman Steve Yamashiro, Chairman <br /> of the Council , the County of Hawaii.
