HAWAII COUNTY CHARTER COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES <br /> 12th Session <br /> April 3, 1979 <br /> Hilo, Hawaii <br /> The twelfth session of the Hawaii County Charter Commission <br /> was called to order at 3 : 35 p.m. in the Hawaii County Councilroom, <br /> Hawaii County Building, Hilo, Hawaii, by Mr. Kimiaki Sakata,: <br /> Chairman. <br /> The roll recorded the following: <br /> Present : Mr. Harlan Cadinha <br /> Mr. Richa-rd Ishida <br /> Mrs. Amy Iwamoto <br /> Mrs. Gloria Kobayashi <br /> Mr. Kimiaki Sakata <br /> Mr. Spencer Kalani Schutte <br /> Mr. Herman Sensano <br /> Mr. Joseph Trulson <br /> Mr. Basilio Yagong <br /> Mr. Matsuo Yanaga <br /> Absent Mr. Akira Omonaka <br /> and <br /> Excused : <br /> Also Attorney Stuart Oda <br /> Present: Recording Secretary Joan Carnett <br /> GUEST The Chair called for the rules to be suspended <br /> COMMITTEE: and consideration of suggested proposals for <br /> Charter revision by the representative of the <br /> guest committee be accepted. <br /> Motion was made by Mr. Trulson. <br /> Seconded by Mrs. Iwamotoand <br /> unanimously carried. <br /> KONA_ WOMEN: The Chair introduced Ms. Virginia Isbell , <br /> COMMITTEE: - speaker for the Kona _Women Committee. . _. <br /> MS. ISBELL: Thank you very much for the oppor- <br /> tunity to be here today. I would like to clarify that I do not <br /> believe that we represent all the housewives and businesswomen of <br /> Kona but I can say, unequivocally, that we represent many of them. <br /> Lani Rivera, who is sitting over here, and myself both drove over <br /> today. Most of them are working. <br />
