KONNO: Yes. <br /> MR. TRULSON: Mr. Konno. You have stated to <br /> abolish the water commission. Under the present charter there <br /> are various duties of the water commission. How do you propose <br /> these duties would be carried out if there was not a water <br /> commission? <br /> MR. KONNO: Under the present charter the manager <br /> is -appointed by the board; of water _department',commission. <br /> Our thoughtis really to have the department of water supply <br /> come back to the county as we indicated earlier thereby we see <br /> no need for a commission. <br /> MR. TRULSON: All the present duties of the <br /> commission would be done by the personnel in the water depart- <br /> ment including the county, itself? <br /> MR. KONNO: Yes. <br /> MR. TRULSON: Then the mayor would have the <br /> authorityto. issue revenue bonds? Right now the commission <br /> has the authority to issue revenue bonds. Then it would go to <br /> the mayor'.
