CHAIRMAN SAKATA: Okay, are you ready for the <br /> question? It has been moved and seconded that we adopt <br /> Section 2-1 without any revision. We' ll go to the vote again. <br /> (A roll call vote was taken and the motion <br /> was unanimously agreed upon. ) <br /> Section 2-2 : CHAIRMAN SAKATA: Section 2-2? <br /> MR. SENSANO: Mr. Chairman, I move that Section <br /> 2-2 be approved as it is without revision. <br /> MRS. KOBAYASHI : Second. <br /> CHAIRMAN SAKATA: It has been moved and seconded <br /> that Section 2-2 be adopted and approved without any revision. <br /> Any discussion? Are you ready for the question? It has been <br /> moved and seconded that we approve Section 2-2 concerning the <br /> powers. We' ll take a vote. <br /> (A roll call vote was taken and the motion <br /> was unanimously agreed upon. ) <br /> ARTICLE III : CHAIRMAN SAKATA: We are going to table Article <br /> III until the subcommittee comes up with a <br /> proposal. That would be on the legislative <br /> branch. <br /> ARTICLE IV: We' ll move to page 7, Article IV. Section 4-1 , <br /> SECTION 4-1h Executive Power. <br /> MR. TRULSON: Mr. Chairman. I move that Article <br /> IV, Section 4-1 be approved as is presently in <br /> the charter without any revision. <br /> MR. OMONAKA: Second. <br /> CHAIRMAN SAKATA: It has been moved and seconded <br /> that we approve Section 4-1 as presently written in the charter <br /> without any revision. For all practical <br /> purposes, the title and the article number has been adopted. . . <br /> do we need to act on this. . .it seems awkward to make a motion <br /> and not to change anything, that is why. In terms of procedure, <br /> it sounds kind of awkward to have a motion and not to change. <br /> MR. ODA: Whether you are statingin _a_negative <br /> or in a positive, the end result is the same. <br /> -11 <br />
