HAWAII COUNTY CHARTER COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES <br /> 23rd Session <br /> June 19, 1979 <br /> Hilo, Hawaii <br /> The twenty-third session of the Hawaii County Charter <br /> Commission was called to order at 4:21 p.m. in the Hawaii <br /> County Councilroom, Hawaii County Building, Hilo, Hawaii by <br /> Mr. Kimiaki Sakata, Chairman. <br /> The roll recorded the following: <br /> Present: Mr. Harlan Cadinha <br /> Mr. Richard Ishida <br /> Mrs. Amy Iwamoto <br /> Mrs. Gloria Kobayashi <br /> Mr. Akira Omonaka <br /> Mr. Kimiaki Sakata <br /> Mr. Spencer Kalani Schutte <br /> Mr. Herman Sensano <br /> Mr. Joseph Trulson <br /> Mr. Basilio Yagong <br /> Mr. Matsuo Yanaga <br /> Also Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi <br /> Present: Mr. Stuart Oda, Attorney <br /> Mrs. Joan Carnett, Secretary <br /> CHAIRMAN SAKATA: Will someone please amend <br /> the Rules of Procedure so we can go right into testimony <br /> from the Mayor. <br /> MRS. KOBAYASHI : I so move. <br /> MR. TRULSON: Second. <br /> CHAIRMAN SAKATA: It has been moved and seconded <br /> that we amend the Rules of Procedure and go into testimony at <br /> this time from the Mayor. All those in favor, aye? Carried. <br /> MAYOR MATAYOSHI : I am very happy to be here <br /> and glad to see the members are all here now. I understand, <br /> Kalani, you were not feeling too well? Too bad. I see <br /> occasionally we have been missing a few people, looking at the <br /> minutes , but I see we are in full force tonight. <br />
