It is very difficult for a person to comment on <br /> something when there is no copy available. <br /> CHAIRMAN SAKATA: You can get those at the <br /> County Office Building in the County Clerk ' s Office. <br /> MS. STONE: Could I make a request for the <br /> people who don ' t have cars, or money for food or gas, that <br /> somehow you would get copies to the public libraries and <br /> every public library as soon as possible by delivery or by <br /> mail. . . ? <br /> CHAIRMAN SAKATA: We do have them at the <br /> public libraries. <br /> MS. STONE: Are you salary paid or are you <br /> just donating your time? 'Cause I get angrier at salary paid <br /> by tax payers to people who make decisions incorrectly than <br /> I do at those who are donating their time. <br /> CHAIRMAN SAKATA: This commission is not <br /> compensated, at all . <br /> MS. STONE: Not compensated by taxes? <br /> CHAIRMAN SAKATA: Just mileage and sometimes <br /> we wonder if it is enough to cover the cost of gas, now. <br /> MS. STONE : You ' ll have to excuse me. . .So <br /> the deadline for comments for people to write is May 29th, <br /> and we' ll need more than one, maybe a half dozen copies , I <br /> don ' t know. At least more than one be made available at the <br /> public libraries for the people. . . . . <br /> And just based on my limited knowledge of <br /> what I gathered from this here (copy charter) . . .I want to <br /> agree with the people who ask for at-large, no, no at-large <br /> representation. <br /> Are these comments that were already made <br /> on this charter? This is what I picked up, right here, <br /> it ' s your agenda for today and then in the back it has <br /> comments by United Public Workers and then there are. . .are <br /> these comments that have already been made on your charter? <br /> On our charter, I should say "ours" because we are all <br /> supposed to have a voice in our government. . . <br /> - 26 - <br />
