<br />DR-4366-HI NR012 <br />July 25, 2018 <br />HI-EMA-PIO: 808-733-4300 <br />NEWS DESK: 808-851-7928 <br />News Release <br />Kilauea DisasterRecovery Center Movingto New Location <br />HONOLULU—The FEMA/State Disaster Recovery Center movesto a new locationin Pahoa and opens <br />Monday, July 30 at 8 a.m. <br />The DRC will belocated at the Pahoa Neighborhood Facility,15-2908 Pahoa Village Road.It will be open on <br />weekdays from 8a.m. to 6p.m.,Saturdaysfrom 8 a.m. to 4p.m., and closed onSundays. <br />Recovery officials urge residentswith Kilauea-related loseswho have yet to registerto do so byvisitingthe <br />DRC.The center is staffed by representatives of FEMA,the U.S. Small Business Administrationand others <br />who can support the recovery process. <br />Survivors may also register with FEMA online at DisasterAssistance.govor by phone at 800-621-3362 or <br />(TTY) 800-462-7585.Applicants who use 711 or Video Relay service may call 800-621-3362. The toll-free <br />numbers are open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. <br />Disaster assistance can include FEMA grants for temporary housing, home repairs and replacement, as well as <br />low-interest disaster loans from the SBA. Theseloans are available to businesses, private nonprofits, <br />homeowners and renters to cover losses not fully compensated by insurance or other recoveries. <br />Applicants may apply to the SBA online at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.Applicants may also call SBA’s <br />Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955 or email disastercustomerservice@sba.govfor more information on <br />SBA disaster assistance. Individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing may call (800) 877-8339. <br />The DRC now at Kea‘au High School will maintain regular hours before ending operations on Saturday, July 28 <br />at 4 p.m. <br />### <br />FEMA’s mission is helping people before, during, and after disasters. <br />The SBA is the federal government’s primary source of money for the long-term rebuilding of disaster-damaged private <br />property. SBA helps businesses of all sizes, private nonprofit organizations, homeowners and renters fund repairs or <br />rebuilding efforts and cover the cost of replacing lost or disaster-damaged personal property. These disaster loans cover <br />losses not fully compensatedby insurance or other recoveries and do not duplicate benefits of other agencies or <br />organizations. <br />
