<br /> <br />The Director will provide informational updates on the following: <br />(1) Status of the proposed Nāāʻlehu and Pāhala Wastewater Treatment Plants. <br />(2) Status of the closure of the Hilo Landfill. <br />(3) Status of proposed commissioners to the Environmental Management <br />Commission (per request of Commissioner Gaffney). <br />(4) Information on what profit-making waste management opportunities may <br />exist on the island of Hawaiʻi (per request of Commissioner Fritz). <br />(5) Report on testimony to the Hawaiʻi County Charter Commission. <br /> <br />7. COMMISSIONER REPORTS <br /> <br />a. Commissioner Neff: report on the Hū Honua Bioenergy incinerator. <br /> <br />8. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br />Commissioners can suggest items they would like placed on the next agenda. <br /> <br />9. ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />The next meeting is scheduled for September 26, 2018, in the Planning <br />Department’s conference room (Building E) at the West Hawaiʻi Community Center <br />at 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway, Kailua-Kona, Hawaiʻi. <br /> <br />10.
