Saquing <br />Donna Mae Springer <br />RE: Formation of Ad Hoc Committee — Section 3-2 of Hawai`i County Charter; <br />Relating to Composition and Terms for Council Members <br />This memorandum reports that, at its meeting held September 14, 2018, the Charter <br />Commission moved to form an Ad Hoc Committee (IAW HRS 92-2.5(b)(1)) to <br />investigate Hawai`i County Charter Section 3-2, for the purpose of introducing <br />recommendations for proposals to amend said Section. <br />The members assigned to this Ad Hoc Committee are: William Bergin, Kevin Hopkins, <br />Sarah Rice, and Bobby Jean Leithead Todd, with Commissioner Rice designated as <br />Chairperson. <br />The Ad Hoc Committee will present a report of its findings and recommendations (if any) <br />for placement on the next available meeting agenda, with the understanding that <br />discussion and deliberation on said findings and recommendations (if any) is not to occur <br />until a subsequent meeting of the Commission. <br />Should you have any questions, please contact our Commission Analyst, Jon Henricks at <br />(808) 961-8580. <br />DSA/jdh <br />Comm.
