COMPLIANCE <br />• TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL: No report. <br />• COLLECTION SYSTEM: <br /> August 24, 2018: Discharge of untreated wastewater to ground as well as to State <br />waters. Spills were a result of abnormally high flows due to heavy rainfall from <br />Hurricane Lane which overwhelmed the collection system. <br />a. Paukaʻa Sewer Pump Station: Estimated volume released was 745,000 gallons <br />to State waters and 39,000 gallons to ground. <br />b. Wailuku Sewer Pump Station: Estimated volume released was 2,608,000 <br />gallons to State waters. <br />c. Pua Sewer Pump Station: Estimated volume released was 5,859,000 gallons to <br />State waters. <br />d. Pāpaʽikou Mill Road, Sewer Manhole 1887: Estimated volume released was <br />720 gallons to ground. <br />e. Honoliʻi Place, Sewer Manhole 2877: Estimated volume released was 4,170 <br />gallons to ground. <br />DOH-CWB was notified on August 24, 2018. DOH waived sampling requirements <br />and sign posting due to a Brown Water Advisory already in effect as a result of heavy <br />runoff caused by rainfall from Hurricane Lane.
