<br />LEEWARD PLANNING COMMISSION <br />COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I <br /> <br />HEARING TRANSCRIPT <br />AUGUST 16, 2018 <br /> <br />A regularly advertised hearing on the application of GOODFELLOW BROTHERS, INC. <br />(AMEND SPP 08-000064) was called to order at 9:33 a.m. in the West Hawai‘i Civic Center, <br />Community Center, Building G, 74-5044 Ane Keohokālole Highway, Kailua-Kona, Hawai‘i, <br />with Chairman Keith F. Unger presiding. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Keith F. Unger, Nancy Carr Smith, Perry Kealoha, <br />Michael Vitousek and Faye Yates <br /> <br />ABSENT AND EXCUSED: Scott Church and Sonny Shimaoka <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: Malia Hall, Esq. (AMEND SPP 08-000064) <br />Application to amend Condition No. 3 (Life of the Permit) of Special Permit No. 08-64 and add <br />the use and operation of a concrete/asphalt batching plant on a 5-acre portion within the <br />previously approved 14.77-acre special permit area on the 243.794-acre property within the State <br />Land Use Agricultural District. In 2008, Special Permit No. 08-64 granted the establishment of a <br />baseyard to provide equipment and motor vehicle maintenance, repair services and related uses <br />within the 14.77-acre portion of the property.
