Hawaii Game Management Advisory Commission Meeting <br />Minutes – September 24, 2018 <br />TN: All right, thank you, because I want to talk to you about a workshop that we <br />could all come together and not be in a structured meeting like this and where <br />hunters can be freely speaking. <br /> <br />AA: Yes, and my plan is to start it – have my first meeting in January. Right now <br />it’s open hunting season so I want to kinda get that out of the way right now. <br /> <br />TN: Well, what I’m saying is that GMAC could possibly support you in paying for a <br />meeting place if you have to – if you need a meeting place and something <br />that all the commission members could be a part of and hear you folks out. <br />Thank you. <br /> <br />AA: Than you. <br /> <br />MH: Sorry – I just have to interject. There’s Sunshine Law so if you guys are <br />gonna have meeting like that then you would have to notice it and you would <br />have to – if all the commissioners went to it – you would have to again notice <br />it – it would have to be on the County calendar and all that stuff so just so you <br />know – you would still have to do that if you’re planning on having all the <br />commissioners there. <br /> <br />NP: Thank you. <br /> <br />TL: Sunshine... <br /> <br />NP: I have one more question, Antonio. One of the other times you were here <br />yuou said that you were seeing a lot of – that they decided they were <br />nimetodes – parasites in the meat of... <br /> <br />AA: Yeah, and never got no real confirmation or anything back just from that last... <br /> <br />NP: Are you still seeing it like as much? <br /> <br />AA: No, actually, where I’m hunting the game numbers are kind of down this year <br />for some reason... <br /> <br />NP: But the meat’s looking OK? <br /> <br />AA: Yeah, so far, yeah. Nice, healthy game... <br /> <br />NP: Oh, good... <br /> <br />TL: Is that mostly on Kona side though, I mean? <br /> <br />AA: No, Right in the Kulani buffer zone – very decent – but the numbers are kinda <br />down this year. <br />7 <br /> <br /> <br />
