Shirkhodai and Hughey: <br /> I recently learned that the Pacific Disaster Center will support the County of <br /> Hawaii's recovery efforts by providing a comprehensive Kilauea Eruption Risk <br /> Assessment. This was welcome news, as the results of this assessment will guide <br /> policymaking for the Lower East Rift Zone and support the update to the Multi-Hazard <br /> Mitigation Plan. <br /> Even more gratifying was the news that the PDC will provide this critical analysis <br /> at no cost to the County.
