Lopez: After what you just said, do we really care where the dance floor is going to be in
this (inaudible)? Because if there's 15 feet and a DJ area, I don't see anywhere people
would walk in the front entrance.
Takase: Yes. What he's delineated here is probably not exactly correct so that's why
I've asked him to move his dance floor all the way over to one wall, to leave where the
front entrance is a corridor to walk through.
Lopez: Okay, so, oh, in front of the bar? Between the bar and the DJ area?
Takase: Yes. It's a long, skinny premises right now. Along with the dance floor, the
question we asked him was (because) he would have to serve food until he closes as
well. I guess he will do that.
Lopez: So, it's being adjusted. It's a non -issue for us at the moment?
Takase: At this point, no.
Lopez: Thank you.
Taniguchi: Anyone else?
There were no other questions from the Commissioners.
Taniguchi: Since none...
Nahale-a: Move to approve Application No. 18-04, if approved, public hearing to be held
October 4, 2018, in Kona.
Greenwell: Second.
Ms. Nahale-a moved to approve Application No. 18-04,
Chapter 27 LLC, dba Chapter 27 LLC, for a Change to Class 11,
Cabaret to its Dispenser General liquor license, Category B1,
located at 216 Kamehameha Avenue, Hilo, Hawaii,
TMK: 2-3-007:018, public hearing to be held on October 4, 2018,
in Kona; seconded by Mr. Greenwell.
Taniguchi: Any other discussion?
There was no other discussion from the Commissioners.
Taniguchi: Since none, all those in favor signify by saying, "Aye."
The Commissioners voted "aye."
August 2, 2018 — LIQUOR COMMISSION MINUTES 18
