Page 22 <br />1 are seeking input from the Salary Commission as to how <br />2 the County Charter affects their role and operations <br />3 within the County and any proposals they may have to <br />4 amend the charter. Requests this information be <br />5 provided to them by September 26th. And that was one <br />6 of the reasons that we scheduled the meeting so shortly <br />7 after the meeting that was canceled. So this is a <br />8 reschedule of this meeting so that we can provide them <br />9 some feedback. <br />10 And then the second part of that is <br />11 Memorandum from the Salary Commission Chair. I <br />12 responded to Chairman Adams that it was on our agenda <br />13 and that we would get back to them by September 26th. <br />14 So with that, that's open for discussion <br />15 right now. I have some notes here. Let me see. One <br />16 of the things. There is a charter amendment proposal, <br />17 and if I'm not mistaken, the Charter Commission has <br />18 this amendment. As you recall, it had to do with the <br />19 conduct or the processing of the Salary Commission as <br />20 far as requiring public hearings or public <br />21 informational meetings, and more widespread, with the <br />22 meeting in Kona or something like that.
