Being from North Kohala we have <br />been diligently working with PONC to acquire and preserve important cultural lands in the North <br />Kohala District and have been successful. We have more lands being recommended that can be <br />acquired using the funds but for some reason the Mayor has been slow in following the <br />recommendations of PONC to use the funds which resulted in the current accumulation. So now, <br />reducing the 2% to help his budget is not what the people want.
