REPORTS and OTHER PRESENTATIONS: <br />2. Presentation by Erica Perez from the Coral Reef Alliance. Clean Water for Reefs Puak <br />project update and next steps. What started as a gr assroots community - driven effort i s now <br />a state priority. Learn how we can work together to mitigate wastewater impacts in Puak . <br />BUSINESS: <br />Communication No. 2018 - 12 : Action Committee Recommendation Letter: The Action <br />Committee will revisit their priority projects which were chosen last year. Discussion may <br />include updates on community partnerships, subcommittee work, or other related projects <br />in the South Kohala region. Action Committee members may also create additional <br />subcommittees for projects related to CDP topics as desired. <br />The projects specified last year include: <br />a. Potable Water in Kawaihae <br />b. <br />c. Waimea Historic District <br />d. Waikoloa Intersection <br />e. Emergency Shelters in District <br />4. Communication Number 2019 - 02: Action Committee Capital Improvement Program <br />( CIP ) Recommendation Letter: The Action Committee will discuss and plan for making <br />recommendations for the County’s Capital Improvement Program/Budget for the next <br />l year. Discussion may include revisions to the draft CIP letter including the <br />addition of other project recommendations as desired. <br />5. Queen Ka‘ahumanu Hwy – Kawaihae Road Intersection. Chair Kaneali‘i will lead a talk <br />story discussion regarding the status o f this intersection. <br />6. Nominations of lands in South Kohala for acquisition with Funds from the County’s <br />Public Access, Open Space and Natural Resources Preservation Fund [PONC]. The <br />Action Committee will discuss the process of nominating lands for acquisiti on consideration <br />suggestions and could involve the creation of a PONC investigatory subcommittee. <br />AGENDA FOR NEXT MEETING: Agenda item suggestions from the Action Committee an d Planning <br />Staff for the March 25, 2019 meeting. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />This agenda and all related documents can be viewed and downloaded from the following website, <br /> under the respective CDP.
