I said, "We deal with <br />4 these matters as they come before the Commission, so if <br />5 you'd like to participate, come down and testify." And <br />6 I invited the public to come down and testify. <br />7 CHR. ONO: Okay. Nelson? <br />8 MR. HARANO: I try not to implicate the <br />9 Commission at all, you know. I defer statements. I <br />10 hardly get asked. I mean, it's more people that I <br />11 do -- people that, you know, I talk to or know me, it's <br />12 more complaining from their side more than, you know, a <br />13 question from their side, so -- <br />14 CHR. ONO: Dr. Dow? <br />15 MR. DOW: I've had inquiries, actually, from <br />16 family and friends, not from anybody just out in the <br />17 general public, but their interest has been "What does <br />18 the Salary Commission do and why do they do it?" And <br />19 I tell them that "I don't speak for the whole <br />20 Commission.
