It is of great concern to <br />17 me, just the idea of paying the department heads and <br />18 deputies -- the discussion regarding overtime <br />19 compensation. Historically, municipalities do not pay <br />20 department heads and deputies overtime. It's just when <br />21 you accept the appointment to that position, the <br />22 understanding is that you're there and you're there <br />23 taking the position on a 24-hour basis, you know; <br />24 you're not just there 7:45 to 4:30.
