Provide a brief description of the purpose of the proposed charter amendment; include <br />a description of the issue the proposal would address: <br />The amendment removes the Charter's requirement that the last four digits of a signer's <br />social security number be included on a recall petition. The County Elections Program <br />Administrator, in Communication 10.1, informed the Commission that the last four digits <br />are no longer required for the purpose stated in the Charter. <br />4. If the proposal is based on a provision(s) in the charter or law of another jurisdiction, <br />name the jurisdiction and, if possible, attach a copy of the relevant provision(s). <br />5.
