REPORTS and OTHER PRESENTATIONS: <br />3. General Plan Comprehensive Review Update: Long Range Planner, Bethany Morrison, <br />will provide a presentation and lead a discussion outlining the proposed comprehensive <br />planning system. <br />BUSINESS: <br />4. Confirmation or Election of Action Committee Vice -Chair. At its January meeting the <br />Action Committee nominated Committee Member David as Vice -Chair, and to continue to <br />serve in this capacity during the 2019 calendar year. There is an unfinished motion from the <br />last meeting to elect Committee Member David to continue as Vice -Chair should she accept <br />the nomination. If Committee member David does not accept nomination, the Action <br />Committee will nominate and elect a new Vice -Chair. <br />5. The Action Committee will Discuss the County's PublicAccess, Open Space and Natural <br />Resources Preservation Fund [PONC]. For this Business item the Action Committee will be <br />able to discuss the PONC program with regard to information presented by Maxine Coulter <br />at theirJanuary Action Committee meeting. This discussion may conclude with a vote to <br />form a PONC investigatory subcommittee should the Action Committee see fit. <br />ACTION COMMITTEE NEXT STEPS AND FOLLOW UP ACTIONS: <br />AGENDA FOR NEXT MEETING: Agenda item suggestions from the Action Committee and Planning <br />Staff for the May 14, 2019 meeting. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />This agenda and all related documents can be viewed and downloaded from the following website, <br />http://www.hawaiicountycdp.info/about-cdps under the respective CDP. Written testimony shall be submitted with an <br />original and nine copies prior to testifying. The Committee would appreciate timely submittal to <br />the Planning Department at least one week prior to the meeting date to allow for mailing and <br />thorough Committee review. <br />Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or language <br />interpretation to access this meeting please contact the Planning Department at (808) 961-8288 as <br />soon as possible, but no later than five working days prior to the meeting date, to arrange for <br />accommodations. "Other reasonable modification" refers to communication methods or devices for <br />people with disabilities who are mentally and/or physically challenged. <br />If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawai'i County Clerk within five days of becoming a <br />lobbyist. (Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawai'i County Code).
