Hawaii Police Commission Regular Session Minutes February 8, 2019 Page 3 Recess was called at 9:40 a.m. The meeting reconvened at 9:51 a.m. EXECUTIVE SESSION Vice Chair Pasco motioned to meet in executive session to consider charges against officers or employees of the Hawaii Police Department where matters affecting privacy will be involved, to consider sensitive matters relating to public safety, and may consult with Corporation Counsel on questions and issues pertaining to the commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities pursuant to HRS 92-5 (a) (2) (4) (6) and the Hawaii County Charter Section 13-20 (b). Commissioner Toci seconded, and it carried unanimously. Executive session convened at 9:52 a.m. Regular session reconvened at 11:18 a.m. ACTION ON EXECUTIVE SESSION MATTERS • HPC 18-36: Complainant alleged that the police department has not responded to his request to tow abandoned vehicles from his subdivision. Vice Chair Pasco motioned to refer the complaint to the Police Chief for procedural concerns and other concerns discussed in executive session. Commissioner Obra seconded, and it carried unanimously. • HPC 18-37: Complainant alleged that an officer harassed him. Vice Chair Pasco motioned that there was insufficient evidence to prove the complainant's allegations. Commissioner Brown seconded, and it carried unanimously. ANNOUNCEMENTS Chair De Luz announced that the next monthly meeting is scheduled for March 15, 2019, 9:00 a.m., in the West Hawaii Civic Center, 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway, Kailua- Kona, Hawaii.
