City of Davis <br />134,832.05-163,889.23 a yearFull-time <br />Experience and Training <br />Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and <br />skills is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: <br />Experience: <br />• Eight (8) years of increasingly responsible command and supervisory experience in an organized <br />fire department, including five (5) years of administrative and supervisory responsibility in fire <br />protection programs. <br />Training: <br />• Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course <br />work in fire science, fire administration, public administration, business administration, political <br />science or a related field. A Master's degree in public or business administration is preferred. <br />City of Hampton, VA <br />Graduation from an accredited college or university that is approved by a regionally or nationally <br />recognized accrediting agency, with a Bachelor's Degree in Fire Science, Public Administration, Business <br />Management, Business Administration, or related field; Master's Degree in a related field is preferred. <br />CPR and EMT Basic level or higher certifications are preferred. Requires a minimum of six (6) years of <br />increasingly responsible experience in a municipal Fire and Rescue department management or <br />supervisory position at the level of Chief, Assistant/Deputy Chief, Major or Battalion Chief, preferably in <br />a community of equivalent or larger size with a combination of volunteer and career personnel <br />NASA <br />Bachelor's degree in related field and eight (8) years' experience in fire operations. Equivalent <br />education/experience is applicable. <br />Baltimore County, MD <br />Qualifications <br />• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree <br />Plus <br />• a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible fire and emergency response experience; <br />five years in a supervisory capacity. <br />• Additional progressive fire and emergency response experience may substitute for the required <br />education. <br />• Additional fire and emergency response experience may not substitute for the required <br />supervisory experience. <br />
