Ms. Rose explained that there has been an active team organized around each one of the 6 strategies f or implementation, and that these teams work and partner with other groups and organizations that align with the goals of each strategy. Mr. Wiggins also shared the work being done to develop an interactive sea level rise application for the public to better understand sea level rise implications and how that will affect anchialine pool ecosystems. He also shared inform ation form the anchialine pools vulnerability assessment tha t was conducted. U p d a t e r e g a r d i n g t h e K a w a i h a e , I n t e r s e c t i o n : James Hustace, Chair of the South Kohala Traffic Safety Committee, provided an update on the Kawaihae, Queen He shared that there have been some changes to the intersection . There i s no longer a n auxiliary right turn lane coming from Kawaihae onto Queen Kaahumanu Highway . This intersection falls under State jurisdiction. He shared that the South Kohala Traffic safety committee submitted a letter to D.O.T. Deputy Director Highways, Edwin Sniffen , r egarding intersection issues such as congest ion and lingering concerns about intersection safety , and suggestions on methods for how to increase safety. 5. E l e c t i o n o f A c t i o n C o m m i t t e e o f f i c e r s : The meeting ran over the scheduled time and CDP p lanner, Kamuela Plunkett, suggested to postpone the election of officers until the next meeting on June 3, 2019. Committee Member McLaughlin made a motion to postpone the election of officers until the next meeting on June 3, 2019. Seconded by Committee M ember Alos.
