Subject: Resolution 678 Urging Wireless Carriers Not To Deploy 5G
Aloha,
I urge the Hawaii County council not to pass Resolution 678,which urges the wireless industry not to deploy 5G wireless on the Big
Island until its alleged health risks are addressed.The ongoing COVID pandemic has resulted in more and more people working from
home.This means these folks will need faster Internet connections going forward. If the wireless industry is barred from upgrading
to 5G, it will severely hinder economic and technological growth on the Big Island as a result.
The alleged health impacts from 5G haven't been conclusively proven in my mind.There has been too much white noise about this,
so its hard to glean what is fact or fiction. Heck there has been allegations that 5G caused the COVID pandemic,which is false.
Nonetheless,the county and states have no jurisdiction on regulating if 5G is deployed or not.
That buck stops with the FCC. Please review the highlighted part of the United States code below.

wireless service facilities on the basis of the environmental effects of radio frequency emissions to the extent that such facilities
comply with the Commission's regulations concerning such emissions.
