During the 2 months closure I lost approximately$80,000 in revenue. We have since reopened but without tourists we our down about 30°1 compared to last year. But we still have the same expenses, rent, payroll, insurance,GE tax, utilities etc. Without taking on debt there is no way we can survive. This micro grant program for Hawaii's small businesses is very much needed. I talk to other business owners daily that just don't see how they can survive this. Without some kind of relief in the form of a grant most small businesses in Kona won't survive. We need help now! We have lost our livelihood thru no fault of our own. I have worked my butt off for 10 years building my business to what it is today to see it fail because of a pandemic is heartbreaking. There are hundreds of businesses on our island that are in the same boat. If you want small business to survive this shutdown and be around for when the tourists do return then you need to step in and provide some kind of assistance. This is crucial for our local economy.
