RESOLUTION NO. 697 20
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
DONATION OF A COLOR COPIER AND TONER SUPPLIES TO THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION
WHEREAS, Able Electric, Inc. is donating a Xerox Work Centre 7830 color copier
and toner supplies to the County of Hawai`i Department of Parks & Recreation; and
WHEREAS, the copier and supplies, valued at $5,230, will be used by the
department's Elderly Activities staff at the Kamana Senior Center; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter, provides that the
council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other
personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this
donation; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, , in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter, the County of
Hawai`i, accepts this donation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this
resolution be sent to Able Electric, Inc., 567 Kanoelehua Ave., Hilo, HI 96720,
acknowledging this generous donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Department of Parks & Recreation, the Department of Finance, and the
Office of the Mayor.
