Dear Chairman Chung,
This letter is from a voter in total support of the County Council in doing
everything it can to control the spread of illegal drugs. As a parent and
grandparent, I have seen, in a very personal way, the impact of illegal drugs on
our youth.
{ have been personally been faced with illegal grouting on my own lands and
have ventured unknowingly into illegal marijuana growing on public lands during
fieldwork. I resent that I must fear carrying out my professional work because
of such activities.
I also resent that our fairly elected officials should face the indignity of an
impeachment hearing by a group of non-contributing and negative residents.
While they have the right to speak out, they should have no right to disrupt the
orderly execution of the democratic process. I have sat in on some of their
verbal attacks of the Council and find them most offensive and off target. They
should pay for using up my taxpayer Council time.
The Council should be permitted to spend its time on productive promotion of the
legal farming and other economic activities of our county.
Again, I want to express support for the Council and Administration in the receipt
of grants aimed at the eradication of marijuana.
